Business customer proof with ID check
Anyone unlocking business prices with their VAT ID now also uploads a copy of their ID – so that nobody can use another company's number.
The problem
Until now, any valid VAT ID was enough for net and volume prices. The numbers appear on every invoice and in every legal notice – even someone else's number got through.
The solution
Under “Become a business customer” you upload a copy of your identity card or passport together with your VAT ID. We compare the two, usually within one working day, and email you. Name, photo and validity are enough; you may black out everything else. We delete the copy as soon as a decision has been made. Business customers who are already unlocked keep their proof.
